Kimco Realty Corporation is a real estate investment trust (REIT) and owner and operator of open-air, grocery-anchored shopping centers and mixed-use properties in the United States. The Company's portfolio is primarily concentrated in the first-ring suburbs of the major metropolitan markets, including high-barrier-to-entry coastal markets and rapidly expanding Sun Belt cities. It specializes in shopping center ownership, management, acquisitions, and value-enhancing redevelopment activities. Its properties & leasing services include finding available space, signature series, re/development, specialty leasing, leasing programs, acquisitions & dispositions, and preferred equity & mezzanine financing. The Company has interests in approximately 568 United States shopping center properties, aggregating 101 million square feet of gross leasable area, located in 30 states.
