Mix of optimism and concern during Farm Bureau Convention

A state farm bureau official describes the mood at this year’s national convention as a mixture of optimism and concern.

Minnesota Farm Bureau vice president Carolyn Olson attended American Farm Bureau’s annual meeting in Salt Lake City and tells Brownfield farmers tend to be optimists.

“And we had a lot of great conversations about where the markets are going, whether it’s the protein markets with the U.S. Meat Export Federation, or whether it’s crop outlooks.”

But she says there’s a lot of uncertainty ahead.
