Managing Event Contract Orders and Positions

Where can I view pending orders, open positions, and completed trades?

You can view your Event Contract activity in your Event Contract account or through its linked brokerage account in the Webull app. Check Orders for pending orders, Positions for contracts you currently hold, Settled for outcomes of contracts held to expiration, and History for completed trades and other past activity.

On the desktop platform, you can also use the applicable widgets to review this information.

Why was my order cancelled or rejected?

Any unfilled orders will be canceled when trading for the Event Contract ends. An order may also be canceled or rejected if there are not enough contracts available to fill it under your selected order type and time-in-force. For example, a Fill or Kill (FOK) order is rejected if the full quantity cannot be filled immediately.

Other reasons may include insufficient buying power, an account restriction, or an order that does not meet the contract’s trading rules. Review the order status and any message shown in your order history for more information.

How can I modify or cancel an unfilled order?

On the mobile app, navigate to Open Orders in your Event Contract account or Orders in the linked brokerage account, then select the open order. Select the order, and then select either Cancel Order or Modify Order.

You can modify or cancel only the unfilled portion of an order. A request may overlap with an execution, so review the final order status before placing another order.

How do I sell to close all or part of a position?

With an open position, you may navigate to either your cash account overview or event account overview. From there scroll down to positions and find the position you'd like to close. Click into the position to view the market price, unrealized P&L, cost basis, and quantity held. You can click Buy or Sell to either increase or decrease your position.

To change the quantity of contracts sold, press the +/- next to the number, or click the number and type in a quantity. Your quantity to sell may be equal to or smaller than your current position, but not larger.

Where can I access historical records?

On the app, navigate to Account > Events > History. From here you can see your Order Records, Fund Records (transaction history), and Settlement Records.

Where can I find trade confirmations, account statements, and tax documents?

Please review the Locating Trade Confirmations and Account Statements article here for how to access account statements and trade confirmations.

Please review the Accessing Tax Documents article here for how to access tax documents.
