What is a stablecoin?
A stablecoin is a type of cryptocurrency designed to maintain a stable value. Unlike other cryptocurrencies that can be highly volatile, stablecoins are pegged to a reserve asset, such as a fiat currency (like the U.S. Dollar), a commodity (such as gold), or other digital assets.
The goal of a stablecoin is to combine the speed and convenience of cryptocurrency transactions with the stability of traditional currencies.
