Janel Corporation is a holding company with subsidiaries in two business segments: Life Sciences and Manufacturing. The Company’s Life Sciences segment is comprised of several wholly owned subsidiaries. The Company’s Life Sciences segment manufactures and distributes monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies, diagnostic reagents and other immunoreagents for biomedical research and provides antibody manufacturing for academic and industry research scientists. Its Life Sciences segment also produces products for other life sciences companies on an original equipment manufacturer basis. The Company’s Manufacturing segment is comprised of Indco, Inc. (Indco). Indco is a majority-owned subsidiary of the Company that manufactures and distributes mixing equipment and apparatus for specific applications within various industries. Indco’s customer base is comprised of small- to mid-sized businesses as well as other larger customers for which Indco fulfills repetitive production orders.
