Strathcona Resources Ltd. is a Canada-based pure play heavy oil producer with operations focused on thermal oil and enhanced oil recovery. Its segments include Cold Lake, Lloydminster Thermal, and Lloydminster Conventional. Cold Lake includes the development and production of bitumen in the Cold Lake region of Northern Alberta. Lloydminster Thermal includes the development and production of heavy oil through thermal steam-assisted gravity drainage (SAGD) methods in Southwest Saskatchewan. Lloydminster Conventional includes the development and production of heavy oil through both conventional and enhanced oil recovery (EOR) initiatives primarily in Southeast Alberta and Southwest Saskatchewan. It operates three producing assets in the Cold Lake region of Alberta: Lindbergh, Orion and Tucker. Lloydminster thermal properties rely on the SAGD processes as its Cold Lake properties. It also owns Vawn thermal project and certain undeveloped thermal lands.
