Sime Darby Berhad is a Malaysia-based investment holding company. The Company operates through four segments: Industrial, Motors, UMW, and Others. The Industrial segment is engaged in sales, rental and servicing of equipment and engineering services. The Motors segment includes assembly, sale and rental of vehicles and the provision of after-sales services. The business segments under UMW include automotive, equipment, manufacturing and engineering and others. The Others segment is engaged in insurance broking and other general investments. Its subsidiaries include Chubb Malaysia Sendirian Berhad, which is engaged in marketing, installation, rental, and servicing of security products; Sime Darby Electropack Sdn Bhd, which is engaged in manufacturing and general assembly of agricultural and industrial machinery, and Sime Darby Industrial Academy Sdn Bhd, which is engaged in conducting vocational training programmes and activities.
