Electricity Generating Public Company Limited is a Thailand-based holding company, which is focused on the power business and other related businesses. The Company operates in two segments: electricity generation and other businesses. The Electricity generation segment is engaged in operating electricity for sale to the government and industrial users. Other businesses are comprised of maintenance and operating services for power plants, engineering services, the coal mining business and oil pipeline systems business. The Company’s power plants presently generate electricity using several fuel sources, such as natural gas, coal, biomass, hydro, solar, wind, and fuel cells, which partly enhance power security. Its power plants generate electricity from a diverse range of fuels, including natural gas, LNG, coal, biomass, hydropower, solar power, onshore and offshore wind power, fuel cells, and battery energy storage. Its subsidiary is Khanom Electricity Generating Co., Ltd.
