Besra Gold Inc. is an Australia-based gold mining company focused on exploration and development of the Bau Goldfield in East Malaysia. The Company controls, directly and indirectly, a 98.5% interest (93.8% on an equity-adjusted basis) in the Bau Gold Project located in Sarawak, East Malaysia. Its interests in mining tenements extend across four concessional areas, collectively covering around 1,340 square kilometers (km2) of Sarawak; the Bau Gold Project (consisting of Blocks A and B), Rawan and Serian (Block C) areas. Its development activities are focused on the Jugan Project located within the Bau Gold Project. Its Jugan Project is located approximately six kilometers (kms) northeast of the Bau township. Gold is associated with sulfide (refractory) mineralization within the shale dominated lithologies of the Pedawan Formation, locally outcropping as a topographic high at Jugan Hill. Its Bekajang Project lies along a prospective trend that includes two historical gold mines.
