Granite Point Mortgage Trust Inc. is an internally managed real estate finance company. The Company focuses primarily on directly originating, investing in and managing senior floating-rate commercial mortgage loans and other debt and debt-like commercial real estate investments. Its investment objective is to preserve its stockholder's capital while generating attractive risk-adjusted returns over the long term, primarily through dividends derived from current income produced by its investment portfolio. The Company provides intermediate-term bridge or transitional financing for a variety of purposes, including acquisitions, recapitalizations, refinancings and a range of business plans.
