Talen Energy Corporation is an independent power producer and energy infrastructure company. It owns and operates approximately 15.7 gigawatts of power infrastructure in the United States, including 2.2 gigawatts of nuclear power and a dispatchable fossil fleet. It produces and sells electricity, capacity, and ancillary services into wholesale U.S. power markets, with its generation fleet located in the Mid-Atlantic, Ohio and Montana. Its PJM segment is engaged in electricity generation, marketing activities, commodity risk and fuel management within the PJM RTO or ISO markets and comprises Susquehanna and Talen’s natural gas and coal generation facilities. Its Other segment includes the operating and marketing activities of Montana’s proportionate share of Colstrip in the WECC market and other non-material operating and development activities. Its power generation assets provide reliable and dispatchable energy for the requirements of commercial, industrial and residential customers.
