First Community Corporation is the holding company for First Community Bank (the Bank), a local community bank based in the Midlands of South Carolina. The Bank is a full-service commercial bank offering deposit and loan products and services, residential mortgage lending and financial planning/investment advisory services for businesses and consumers. The Bank serves customers in the Midlands, Aiken, Upstate and Piedmont Regions of South Carolina as well as Augusta, Georgia. The Company operates through four segments. Its commercial and retail banking segment provides deposit and lending products and services to its commercial and retail customers. Its mortgage banking segment provides mortgage origination services for loans that will be sold to investors in the secondary market and consumer mortgage loans that will be held for investment. Its investment advisory and non-deposit segment provides investment advisory services and non-deposit products.
