KAL Energy, Inc. is an Indonesia-based exploration stage company. The Company's operations are carried out through its wholly owned subsidiary, Thatcher Mining Pte. Ltd. Its business plan is to engage in the exploration, extraction and distribution of coal. The Company is engaged in the search for coal deposits and is not engaged in the exploitation of a coal deposit. It is not engaged in the preparation of an established commercially mineable coal deposit for extraction or in the exploitation of a coal deposit. The Company has the rights to two coal concessions situated near the Mahakam River in Northeastern Kalimantan, Indonesia. The Company, its subsidiary Thatcher Mining PTE, Ltd, PT Kubar Resources and Kangaroo Resources Limited (KRL) entered into a cooperation agreement.
