Ecometals Limited is a junior mineral exploration company engaged in the acquisition and exploration of mineral properties located in South America. The Company’s exploration portfolio includes gold projects in Ecuador and Brazil, and manganese gold and iron ore projects in Brazil. The Company’s operations are all in South America, and are focused on Brazil and Ecuador. The Company’s projects include Serra do Navio, Matapi, Pedra Branca Gold, Rio Zarza and Valle de Tigre. The Serra do Navio manganese comprises two types of mineralized material, an upper zone of enriched oxide mineralization grading 36% to 52% manganese, which is underlain by lower grade manganese rich carbonate protore that ranges in grade from 28% to 42%. The company’s key iron ore prospect is its Matapi project. The prospect covers licenses held and operated by Ecometals through two companies. The Pedra Branca project is prospective for three important commodities: gold, manganese and iron.
