CalciTech Limited is a Switzerland-based company that is engaged in transforming waste minerals into a new high value material. These new high value materials are used by producers of paper, polymers, sealants, paints, inks, photovoltaic glass, food and pharmaceuticals. The Company’s new material enables higher filler loadings that reduce the amount of polymers, reduced use of titanium dioxide, reduced use of specialist clays and ground marble, and increased process efficiencies. It offers SCC products. The Company has developed a process for manufacturing Synthetic Calcium Carbonate (SCC) from lime (calcium oxide or hydroxide) and carbon dioxide. CalciTech Limited operates a pilot scale SCC plant in Leuna, Germany.
