- The following bids, mergers, acquisitions and disposals were reported by 0930 GMT on Friday:


** Everton have been sold to 777 Partners, the struggling Premier League club said, with the U.S. private equity firm taking over from Farhad Moshiri in a deal reportedly worth more than 550 million pounds ($685 million).


** Toshiba's 6502.T largest shareholder Effissimo Capital Management has decided to tender its 9.9% stake in the $14 billion takeover offer by Japan Industrial Partners (JIP), a source said, raising the odds of the bid succeeding.


** Media entrepreneur Byron Allen has made a $10 billion bid to buy Walt Disney's DIS.N ABC television and assets including the FX and National Geographic cable channels, a spokesperson for Allen said .


** The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) has extended the time it will take to consider a Brookfield-led BN.TO takeover of Origin Energy ORG.AX until Oct. 12, according to documents published on its website .


** Spanish industrial company Applus's APPS.MC board of directors issued a positive opinion on a cash offer for the company from Infrastructure fund I Squared Capital Advisors and TDR Capital.
