US Oil Rig Count Rises to Highest Since May
01:36 PM EST, 02/05/2021 (MT Newswires) -- The US oil rig count increased by four to 299 during the week ended Feb. 5, the highest level since May 1, according to data compiled by Baker Hughes (BKR).
The combined oil and gas rig count for the US increased by eight to 392, as gas rigs rose by four to 92.
In Canada, the oil rig count fell by three to 95 while the gas rig count was flat at 76. As a result, the aggregate count for North America was higher by five to 563, compared with 1,047 a year ago.
