Giyani Metals to Update Preliminary Economic Assessment on K.Hill Manganese Project
08:55 AM EST, 02/05/2021 (MT Newswires) -- Giyani Metals Corp. (EMM.V), which lost 1.7% yesterday, said Friday that it is working on updating the preliminary economic assessment for the K.Hill manganese project in Botswana. This is concurrent to an ongoing feasibility study on the development, which is expected in late 2021.
The company said the updated PEA will include the production of high purity manganese sulfate monohydrate rather than high purity electrolytic manganese metal. The change was due to feedback from independent market research, supported by direct discussions with potential end buyers.
The revised PEA will also include an updated resource estimate, following the ongoing drilling work completed to date and the results from an enhanced ground penetrating radar survey.
In the fourth quarter of 2020, Giyani appointed Terravision Intelligent Exploration to conduct a GPRplusTM survey. It also appointed Mintek and Vietti Slurrytec to conduct hydrometallurgical laboratory work.
