Boeing: Q3 Earnings Snapshot

ARLINGTON, Va. (AP) — ARLINGTON, Va. (AP) — Boeing Co. (BA) on Tuesday reported a loss of $116 million in its third quarter.

On a per-share basis, the Arlington, Virginia-based company said it had a loss of 26 cents. Losses, adjusted for non-recurring gains, came to 34 cents per share.

The results missed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of seven analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 21 cents per share.

The airplane builder posted revenue of $24.19 billion in the period, which also missed Street forecasts. Seven analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $24.28 billion.

Boeing shares have declined 13% since the beginning of the year, while the S&P's 500 index has increased 12%. The stock has dropped 15% in the last 12 months.
