Bilibili has had a busy year, from a fresh global app relaunch to a new US$300m buyback plan and ongoing AI upgrades across its advertising engine. Investors who held Bilibili over the past year are down 55.0%, including dividends. If you had bought on 23 October 2025 after reading sharply split analyst views, those headlines are now just context. The key question now is whether today’s AI and gaming ambitions can genuinely reshape what the next few years look like for holders.
Narratives are how investors here put a case on the record, with explicit assumptions about revenue, margins and the multiple. Those assumptions imply an estimated Fair Value.
The easy part of this move is behind Bilibili. Zero in on 28 high quality undervalued stocks for companies trading below our estimates.
The shares cost US$28.95 at the start of the period, and Bilibili sat between two sharply different stories about what its AI push and gamer community could deliver.
The bullish narrative put fair value at US$36.98. Supporters focused on AI-driven ad upgrades, marquee titles like San Mou and a belief that revenue could grow 10.7% a year with profit margins lifting to 13.7% by 2028.
The bearish side pinned fair value at US$19.94 and highlighted China’s shrinking youth base, tighter content rules and an assumption that margins would only reach 8.5% despite ongoing costs for content and infrastructure.
Bilibili’s later Q2 2026 report showed revenue at ¥7.94b and net income at ¥343.7m, with net margin at 4.3% versus 3.0% a year earlier. That pattern backed the bullish claim that AI driven advertising and tighter costs could lift profitability, even as mobile gaming pressure meant the full ecosystem story still looked less certain. Overall, the evidence cut both ways.
The key assumption here was margin expansion. For any other stock, you would stress test upbeat narratives by comparing them with reported net margin and segment comments, rather than relying on broad promises about AI or new content pipelines.
Today Bilibili trades at US$13.48, and the selected Narrative sees Fair Value above that level rather than below it. That view leans on AI tools, a highly engaged youth audience and ongoing buybacks to support the long game even after a 55.0% loss over the past year.
The hinge is whether AI driven advertising and higher margin value added services can genuinely offset pressure in games over several years. Anyone paying today’s price is effectively testing that single assumption.
"The main factor that has to go right is that AI led gains in advertising efficiency and ongoing shifts toward higher margin advertising and value added services continue to offset weakness and repositioning in the games business. The current valuation and share price decline imply the market is pricing in significant risk around Bilibili’s growth and profitability targets, even as this narrative views the stock as undervalued and maintains a positive stance."

Bilibili leans heavily on AI tools to sharpen advertising and content. Your portfolio does not have to stop there.
The same hunger for smarter recommendations and automated workflows shows up in a different corner of tech. One large platform is wiring AI into search, productivity software and developer tools.
Instead of chasing audiences directly, it sells the infrastructure that helps other businesses run those experiences and build their own models.
That kind of picks-and-shovels position can give you very different exposure to the same AI push that Bilibili is betting on.
