11:39 AM EDT, 10/26/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Belgian Deputy Prime Minister David Clarinval is "not opposed" to selling some or all of the country's remaining 5.7% stake in French bank BNP Paribas (BNP.PA). Clarinval told Belgian newspaper L'Echo in an interview, as reported by Bloomberg on Monday, that the bank is "a non-strategic asset," adding that the potential sale has not been raised in talks with the coalition Mouvement Réformateur party.
