Prominent Dogecoin (CRYPTO: DOGE) community member Mishaboar warns that a security breach could expose hardware wallet owners to sophisticated phishing attempts.

"This time, it’s Keystone," he said in an X post on Sunday, cautioning users to expect fraudulent emails, text messages, phone calls and potentially physical mail.

He pointed to similar incidents involving hardware wallet manufacturers Ledger and Trezor, where leaked customer information created opportunities for targeted scams.

"Unfortunately, your home address may now be linked to the fact that you bought a hardware wallet to hold crypto," he warned.

Mishaboar also urged users to avoid revealing additional personal or family information on social media, citing potential privacy and security risks.

What Customer Data Was Exposed?

In an X post on Saturday, Keystone apologized to affected customers, acknowledging that it failed to adequately protect their information.

The compromised data included customer names, contact information, shipping addresses and order details.

Keystone clarified that payment card information, banking details, wallet recovery phrases, private keys and passwords were not exposed.

The company said it had blocked unauthorized access, fixed the vulnerability and launched an investigation. It is also notifying affected customers through email.

Keystone warned that scammers could impersonate the company and offer fraudulent refunds, replacement devices or order-related fixes.

Users were advised against clicking suspicious links, entering recovery phrases into unsolicited devices or trusting unexpected communications claiming to represent Keystone.
