02:41 AM EDT, 10/26/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Aryzta (ARYN.SW) plans to merge its retail and foodservice manufacturing operations in Eisleben, Germany, and close its Gerolzhofen and Nordhausen factories. The Swiss convenience bakery company said Monday the plan is expected to incur one-time cash and non-cash costs of between 56 million euros and 61 million euros, with a payback period of less than two years for the cash portion. As part of the overhaul, Aryzta will also discontinue lower-volume and structurally less profitable products and lines. The changes are expected to reduce German revenue by 35 million euros to 40 million euros during implementation. The restructuring will be carried out primarily in 2026 and 2027, with the related provision to be recognized in fiscal 2026.
