Whilst it may not be a huge deal, we thought it was good to see that the Karrie International Holdings Limited (HKG:1050) CEO, Head of Finance & Accounting Department and Deputy Chairman, Wai Hon Ho, recently bought HK$507k worth of stock, for HK$1.69 per share. However, it only increased their shares held by 6.5%, and it wasn't a huge purchase by absolute value, either.
Notably, that recent purchase by CEO, Head of Finance & Accounting Department and Deputy Chairman Wai Hon Ho was not the only time they bought Karrie International Holdings shares this year. They previously made an even bigger purchase of HK$1.0m worth of shares at a price of HK$2.06 per share. So it's clear an insider wanted to buy, even at a higher price than the current share price (being HK$1.73). While their view may have changed since the purchase was made, this does at least suggest they have had confidence in the company's future. We always take careful note of the price insiders pay when purchasing shares. Generally speaking, it catches our eye when an insider has purchased shares at above current prices, as it suggests they believed the shares were worth buying, even at a higher price. Wai Hon Ho was the only individual insider to buy during the last year.
Wai Hon Ho bought a total of 1.63m shares over the year at an average price of HK$2.09. The chart below shows insider transactions (by companies and individuals) over the last year. If you want to know exactly who sold, for how much, and when, simply click on the graph below!
