Well-known tech journalist Mark Gurman broke the news that the market expected Apple CEO Turners and retail manager O'Brien to appear at the iPhone Duo sales event before Fifth Avenue, but the situation was unexpected. Turners did not show up, and the executive at the event was replaced by Vanessa Trigoub. Gulman said, “It's very unusual — we didn't see Turners on the scene. Vanessa Trigoub was there, not Dietrich O'Brien. She was recently appointed as the head of the store's retail business and is likely to be O'Brien's successor.”
