06:36 AM EDT, 10/23/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The UK Financial Conduct Authority restricted six unregulated lenders, known as Annex 1 firms, over concerns about their anti-money laundering controls. The regulator said Friday that the voluntary measures limit the firms from taking on new customers or entering into new lending agreements. Some must also restrict payments from existing borrowers and undergo an independent review of their anti-money laundering systems. The affected lenders are Kingscrown Finance, MOMSB, Momentus Capital, Grosvenor Funding, Grosvenor Funding (North West) and Abbital. The restrictions were imposed between April and October, with Kingscrown also required to wind down its existing loan book.
