Meta Platforms Inc. said that the company has signed a number of leases and contracts, and has promised to spend a total of about 825 billion US dollars in the future, with a large amount of capital for artificial intelligence computing power and related infrastructure. According to regulatory documents submitted by the company on Thursday, operating leases and financial leases that have not yet been included in the balance sheet are worth US$355.7 billion, covering data center and energy infrastructure leasing projects that will be leased one after another from the rest of this year to 2036. As of September 30, Meta had another $454.5 billion irrevocable short- and long-term contracts, mostly related to third-party cloud computing power, data center energy agreements, and the Reality Labs division's consumer hardware products. Meta also said that it has a cloud computing power procurement obligation of up to 14.7 billion US dollars over the next five years; however, if cloud service providers resell computing power to other customers, this amount may be lowered.
