The Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Statistics announced the performance of Shanghai's national economy in the first three quarters of 2026. According to the unified accounting results of gross domestic product, in the first three quarters, the city achieved a gross domestic product of 430.662 billion yuan, an increase of 5.5% over the previous year at constant prices. By industry, the primary sector added value of 6.384 billion yuan, an increase of 1.7% over the previous year; the secondary sector added value of 886.353 billion yuan, an increase of 4.6%; and the tertiary sector added value of 3437.925 billion yuan, an increase of 5.7%.
