Zhang Xianghong, member of the National Data Experts Advisory Committee, said that the establishment of the National Data Group is of extreme strategic importance. Guided by marketization and specialization, the Group will assume the heavy responsibility of developing, integrating and operating national data resources, promote the flow and sharing of data resources across industries and regions, greatly improve the efficiency of data resource allocation, break down “data silos”, and help accelerate the construction of a national integrated data market. From an international perspective, establishing a data group at the national level is also a kind of first try on a global scale, which will effectively enhance China's position in the global data resource competition.
