04:45 AM EDT, 10/20/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Tharisa's (THS.L, THA.JO) subsidiary received its first wheeled renewable energy supply from Etana Energy in September, with the initial delivery expected to meet about 10% of Tharisa Mine's monthly electricity demand. The supply came from an early wind-energy tranche generated in Mpumalanga and was delivered to Tharisa Minerals, which operates the platinum group metals-chrome mine in South Africa, according to a Tuesday release. Under the long-term power purchase agreement signed in July 2024, Etana Energy is expected to supply about 70% of Tharisa Minerals' current electricity demand. Wheeled solar deliveries are set to begin in the first quarter of 2027, followed by additional wind supply later in the year.
