The Zhitong Finance App learned that Nvidia (NVDA.US) is increasing investment in the European AI sector and announced plans to support four German startups: Agile Robots, Avelios Medical, Mirelo, and Reflex Aerospace. Nvidia did not disclose the exact amount invested in each company.

When this news was released, German Chancellor Mertz urged companies, especially small and medium-sized enterprises, to “open the door to AI and make full use of your data.”

The move is part of Nvidia's nearly $10 billion investment commitment to European companies, universities, and research institutions. The promise was announced at the “Invest in Germany Summit” in Berlin on Monday. Nvidia CEO Hwang In-hoon told the participants: “AI can only enhance your abilities and will not replace your abilities.”

Nvidia is also deepening cooperation with the German federal government and the “Industry 4.0 platform”. The platform brings together representatives of government, industry, research and industry associations to accelerate the application of industrial AI.

Earlier the same day, Siemens unveiled a new AI solution co-built with Nvidia at its Erlangen plant. Siemens said the technology can reduce the engineering effort required to prepare for production by up to 85%; AI-driven production planning can reduce costs by up to 20%.
