According to reports, Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry said at a review meeting held on the same day that it plans to invest an additional 400 billion yen in advanced semiconductor manufacturing company Rapidus. Of this 400 billion yen, 150 billion yen will be included in the 2027 fiscal year budget, and the remaining 250 billion yen will be disbursed in the 2028 and 2029 fiscal years. The Japanese government has previously invested 250 billion yen in Rapidus.
