04:38 AM EDT, 10/19/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Sunda Energy (SNDA.L) unit SundaGas received a 12-month extension to the current phase of its TL-SO-19-16 production sharing contract in Timor-Leste from upstream regulator, Autoridade Nacional do Petróleo. The extension allows SundaGas and its government-owned joint venture partner Timor Gap to continue discussions on a joint way to drill the Chuditch gas field after the regulator issued a notice of intention to terminate in June, according to a Monday release. Sunda expects the negotiations to conclude by the end of 2026, with binding documentation and regulatory approvals.
