On October 19, the 2026 “Walking through China · Vibrant Hainan” joint interview event for Chinese and foreign media, co-hosted by China Central Radio and Television's Asia Africa Center and Hainan Station, was launched in Sanya. Representatives from the Propaganda Department of the Hainan Provincial Committee, the Sanya Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, the Propaganda Department of the Municipal Committee, the Municipal Tourism Development Bureau, the central media in Qiongqiong, local media organizations in Hainan, and representatives of mainstream media from ASEAN countries attended the launch ceremony. With “Rural Revitalization in a Free Trade Port” as the core theme, the event invited 11 media reporters from 8 ASEAN countries from Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand, East Timor, and Vietnam to focus on the vivid practices of the Hainan Free Trade Port construction and two-way empowerment of rural revitalization, to showcase the achievements of Hainan's high-level open development and tell the story of mutually beneficial and win-win cooperation between China and ASEAN.
