Housing prices for new homes in Guangzhou have risen seven times in a row. On October 19, the National Bureau of Statistics announced changes in commercial residential sales prices in 70 large and medium-sized cities in September 2026. In the same month, sales prices of newly built commercial residential homes in Guangzhou rose 0.2% month-on-month. This is the seventh consecutive increase since March of this year. At the same time, second-hand residential sales prices also rose 0.1% month-on-month. Among the 70 large and medium-sized cities, commercial residential sales prices in first-tier cities continued to rise month-on-month. The month-on-month decline in second-tier and third-tier cities narrowed overall, while the year-on-year declines in Tier 1, 2, and 3 cities all narrowed. The number of cities that rose month-on-month increased compared to the previous month.
