Right now, Mengzi City in Yunnan Province is ushering in the peak season for sales and exports of pomegranates. Walking into the Mongolian Agricultural Products Comprehensive Service Center, boxes of pomegranates are being inspected by customs officials and loaded into cold chain carriers. The first batch of fresh pomegranates exported using the “territorial inspection '1+N' model” implemented by customs was successfully released. According to information, in the first three quarters of this year, the Mongolian Customs supervised the export of more than 65,000 tons of pomegranates, which were exported to 14 countries and regions. According to statistics, currently 77,000 mu of pomegranate are planted in Mengzi City, the annual output is stable at over 220,000 tons, and the fresh fruit market output value exceeds 880 million yuan.
