According to Woofun AI, the US inflation data for September surged beyond expectations, triggering sharp fluctuations in the macro market, and the BTC price fell in response.

Inflation stickiness rebounded markedly. CPI rose 0.6% month-on-month in September, accelerating from 0.4% in August. Although it was in line with the 0.6% forecast, the year-on-year increase increased from 3.4% to 3.7%, higher than the 3.6% forecast.

According to data compiled by Woofun AI, the core CPI rose 0.3% month-on-month, the same level as August but higher than the 0.2% forecast; the year-on-year core CPI rose from 2.4% to 2.6%, which also exceeded the 2.5% market forecast.

The macro shortfall directly impacted crypto assets. BTC fell by $1,000 in a single day, and the current trading price fell back to $82,800.

Policy path expectations were revised as a result, and several Federal Reserve officials have previously hinted that interest rates may be raised by another 25 basis points before the end of the year. Market consensus is turning, and it is expected that the central bank will stay on hold in the near future meetings and implement austerity at the last meeting of the year in early December.
