11:35 PM EDT, 10/14/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The Mayor's Office for Policing and Crime, or Mopac, in London and Palantir Technologies (PTX.F) agreed to settle legal proceedings over a blocked contract with the Metropolitan Police Service, or MPS, according to a joint statement on Wednesday. Mopac said its May decision not to enter the contract on the initial proposal by the MPS was based on its "statutory role" of examining spending proposals for governance, affordability and value for money, and not on Palantir's values or ethics or any "wider reporting" about the software company. The office added that it is working with the MPS to advance the current re-procurement process "with all due expediency," with Mopac noting that Palantir is "free and welcomed" to participate in.
