12:58 AM EDT, 10/14/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The European Commission approved Kimberly-Clark's proposed acquisition of consumer health products manufacturer and supplier Kenvue on the condition that it divests its tampons and feminine hygiene brands in the European market. The regulator said Tuesday that it was concerned the deal would reduce competition in the supply of tampons, particularly in Czechia, Estonia, and Slovakia, by removing an important competitor in markets with few suppliers. The consumer goods company offered to divest its brands Kotex, including the Lidie sub-brand, Camelia, and Record, in the European Economic Area. The commission said that once the commitment is completed, the deal will no longer raise competition concerns. The European Commission also approved Dilek Gıda Üretim ve Pazarlama Ticaret A.Ş. as the purchaser of the divested businesses.
