RBC Adjusts LVMH Forecasts After 'Mixed' Q3 Trading Update

07:18 AM EDT, 10/13/2026 (MT Newswires) -- RBC Capital Markets made "small" adjustments to its forecasts for LVMH Moët Hennessy - Louis Vuitton (MC.PA) following the French luxury goods group's third-quarter trading update. "LVMH 3Q26 is a mixed bag - with F&LG weaker than expected revenue growth (-5%) for the third consecutive quarter, but helpfully offset by strength elsewhere. Recent share price weakness and valuation derating reflects some of the challenges facing the business, so we expect share price impact to be contained," analysts said Tuesday. "Consensus estimates for LVMH FY27E need to better recognise the macro challenges, and RBC EPS is 5% below (pre 3Q print). We are encouraged by the impact of specific brand/product initiatives at Dior, Celine, Tiffany and parts of the LV offer, however we believe a more favourable macro/demand environment is likely necessary before LVMH equity story can turn a corner (and which requires return to positive growth for F&LG)." Against this backdrop, the research firm tweaked its underlying assumptions for 2026 through 2028, resulting in a 0% to 1% uplift in revenue estimates over the period and "broadly unchanged" EPS forecasts. The stock's sector perform rating was maintained, with a price target of 475 euros.
