Beowulf Mining Halts Trading in London Amid Investment Uncertainty, Mulls Asset Sales

03:24 AM EDT, 10/12/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Shares in Beowulf Mining (BEM.L) were suspended from trading on the London stock exchange due to the uncertainty over a Swedish regulatory review by the Inspectorate of Strategic Products, which stalled a strategic investment deal led by Bacchus Capital past its Sept. 30 deadline. The investment agreement effectively collapsed because Bacchus Capital cannot extend its commitments over an indefinite review period. The Swedish regulator requires a new or extended agreement to proceed, and the parties anticipate that the review will cease entirely without the deal moving forward. Amid a lack of finalized interim funding, Beowulf Mining PLC is now evaluating asset sales and alternative financing options. If these efforts fail to secure sufficient capital, the board may be forced to appoint administrators to protect creditors.
