The Secretary for Transport and Logistics of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, said today that the total number of visitors to Hong Kong during the National Day Golden Week was about 1.6 million, including more than 1.41 million inbound visitors, which was higher than the number of mainland visitors during the National Day Golden Week on the 8th of last year. The new Huanggang Port will be officially opened at 6:30 a.m. on October 12. On October 16, the Bureau and the Marine Department will hold the inaugural “Guangdong Boat Sailing Southbound” free sailing ceremony for Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao yachts. On the basis of “port boats going north,” the maritime version of “going both ways” will be welcomed.
