Here's What to Expect From NVR, Inc.'s Next Earnings Report

Valued at a market cap of $16 billion, Reston, Virginia-based NVR, Inc. (NVR) operates as a homebuilder in the United States. The company operates through Homebuilding and Mortgage Banking segments and engages in the construction and sale of single-family detached homes, townhomes, and condominium buildings under the Ryan Homes, NVHomes, and Heartland Homes names. NVR is expected to release its Q3 2026 earnings soon. 

Ahead of the event, analysts expect the company’s EPS to be $106.11 on a diluted basis, down 5.5% from $112.33 in the year-ago quarter. The company has met or exceeded Wall Street’s EPS estimates in two of its last four quarters, while missing on two occasions.

For fiscal 2026, analysts project the company’s EPS to be $361.98, down 17.1% from $436.55 in fiscal 2025. NVR’s EPS is expected to rise by roughly 9.5% year over year (YoY) to $396.26 in fiscal 2027.

NVR stock has fallen 22.6% over the past 52 weeks, underperforming the S&P 500 Index’s ($SPX) 15% rise but outpacing the State Street Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR ETF’s (XLY) 5.5% decline during the same time frame.

On July 23, NVR stock declined 3.1% following the release of its weaker-than-expected Q2 2026 earnings. The company’s revenue for the quarter amounted to $2.3 billion, declining nearly 12% YoY and also missing the Street’s forecasts. Additionally, its adjusted EPS of 83.96 for the period also came in below the consensus estimates. Management cited a decline in settlements, average settlement price, Homebuilding gross margin, affordability challenges, as well as land-deposit impairments as the primary reasons for the overall earnings and revenue miss. 

Analysts are unsure about NVR, with the stock having a “Hold” rating overall. Among the nine analysts covering the stock, three are recommending a “Strong Buy,” three recommend a “Hold,” and three suggest a “Strong Sell” for the stock. NVR’s average analyst price target is $53.40, indicating an upside of 6.8% from the current price point.
