The 2026 Meituan Labor Rules and Algorithms Consultation Conference was held in Beijing recently. Frontline rider representatives from all over the country held discussions with the Meituan platform on issues such as labor remuneration, dispatch rules, rest and leave, labor protection, etc., and signed the “2026 Meituan Labor Rules and Algorithms Negotiation Agreement” on site. The agreement clearly states that Meituan will increase the billing weight for orders that are too heavy, bulky, and difficult to walk up and down stairs to increase revenue rewards in special weather; continue to implement “cancellation of overtime deductions” to continuously optimize mechanisms such as dispatch, delivery time limits, and merchant meal time estimates; gradually expand the “red light stop schedule” pilot project; and promote the implementation of pension insurance subsidy policies to reduce riders' insurance burden, etc.
