02:10 AM EDT, 10/09/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Berenberg believes B2Gold's Goose mine in Nunavut, Canada, provides Wheaton Precious Metals (WPM.L) with near-term volume growth and mine-life extension upside, adding that the asset underscores the quality of deals across the company's streaming portfolio. "Wheaton's Goose mine gold stream, in our view, exemplifies the high-quality precious metals streaming deals that Wheaton looks for, with compelling near-term volume growth (as the mine ramps to full production by mid-2027), resource conversion upside via near-mine exploration (resulting in a higher sustained production profile and/or LOM extension potential), and a longer-term district scale opportunity via regional exploration (primarily focused on the George Property, to possibly build a new plant and/or haul the ore back to Goose)," the research firm said Thursday. While Wheaton's 2.78% life-of-mine gold stream at Goose mine accounts for just 1% of its projected volumes through full-year 2030, analysts said extrapolating the mine's operational upside to larger deals offers scope for further volume growth across current and future streams that market expectations have yet to capture. Against this backdrop, Berenberg maintained its buy rating and 115 pounds sterling price target on the stock after adjusting the Goose mine production profile in its model. The affirmation was supported by a "compelling" 42% projected gold-equivalent volume growth across 2026 to 2030, "strong" cash generation, and a "resilient" streaming business model.
