On September 24, the IFC Executive Board approved the New Hope Global Project in accordance with simplified procedures. IFC plans to provide a Class A loan of up to US$150 million to New Hope Singapore Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of China New Hope Liuhe Co., Ltd., to support the expansion of animal feed production capacity and related working capital requirements in Egypt, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Nepal and Vietnam to enhance the resilience of the local agricultural supply chain and the level of food security, and promote rural employment and farmers' income growth.
