08:32 AM EDT, 10/07/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Saudi Exchange-traded equities closed trading lower, with investors turning their attention to Saudi Arabia's latest economic data and global geopolitical updates. At the close of Wednesday trading, the Tadawul All Share Index closed 0.45% in the red. Out of 273 listings, 90 stocks closed in the green, while 169 were in the red. According to a report by Alrajhi Capital and S&P Global, the kingdom's seasonally adjusted alrajhi capital Saudi Construction Index eased to 54.4 in September from 55.4 in the prior month. The reading showed that Saudi's construction activity continued to expand for a fifth month in a row. "Cost pressures increased, with input price inflation reaching its highest level since January, alongside a slight lengthening of delivery times. Nevertheless, subcontractor availability continued to improve and companies remained positive about their project pipelines. Around 34% of firms expect activity to increase over the next three months, compared with 8% anticipating a decline, pointing to continued growth despite a more challenging cost environment," alrajhi capital Research Head Sultan Altowaim commented. Also dampening sentiment is the continued conflict between Russia and Ukraine. The Russian side launched missile and drone attacks that resulted in casualties, fires, and infrastructure damage. Back at home, Hamad Mohammed Bin Saedan Real Estate (SASE:9648) entered into a memorandum of understanding to form the HS Logistics Fund with Bloom Investment Saudi Arabia. The real estate fund will look into land plot purchases. Shares of the real estate company closed 2.22% higher. Meanwhile, Alfakhera for Mens Tailoring (SASE:9618) shares ticked up 7.56% as it purchased the Hamza, More, Lomar and Shemagh Al Shaer trademarks, intellectual property rights, and related goods for 39.2 million Saudi riyals from Savile Row Co.
