Here's What to Expect From Arch Capital’s Next Earnings Report

Pembroke, Bermuda-based Arch Capital Group Ltd. (ACGL) is a global specialty insurance and reinsurance company. With a market cap of $34.5 billion, the company provides insurance, reinsurance, and mortgage insurance solutions across a broad range of markets worldwide. The insurance giant is expected to announce its fiscal third-quarter earnings for 2026 after the market closes on Tuesday, Oct. 27. 

Ahead of the event, analysts expect ACGL to report a profit of $1.96 per share on a diluted basis, down 29.2% from $2.77 per share in the year-ago quarter. The company has consistently surpassed Wall Street’s EPS estimates in its last four quarterly reports. 

For the current year, analysts expect ACGL to report EPS of $9.50, down 3.5% from $9.84 in fiscal 2025. However, its EPS is expected to rise 3.3% year over year to $9.81 in fiscal 2027.

ACGL has delivered modest gains over the past 52 weeks, with shares rising 3.8%, well behind the S&P 500 Index’s ($SPX) 16% gains. The specialty insurer has, however, outpaced the State Street Financial Select Sector SPDR ETF’s (XLF) marginal returns over the same period.

Arch Capital Group shares rose 2.5% after the release of its Q2 2026 results on July 28. Its adjusted EPS of $2.56 beat Wall Street expectations of $2.49. However, the company’s net written premiums stood at $4 billion, down 6.9% year over year.

Analysts’ consensus opinion on ACGL stock is reasonably bullish, with a “Moderate Buy” rating overall. Out of 23 analysts covering the stock, 10 advise a “Strong Buy” rating, one suggests a “Moderate Buy,” 10 give a “Hold,” and two recommend a “Strong Sell.” ACGL’s average analyst price target is $109.98, indicating a potential upside of 16% from the current levels.
