06:17 AM EDT, 10/07/2026 (MT Newswires) -- RBC Capital Markets expects Fresnillo (FRES.L) to deliver a "neutral" set of third-quarter results, saying its silver equivalent production forecast aligns with market expectations and keeps the precious metal group on course to achieve its full-year 2026 outlook. "We forecast silver volumes up +3% Q/Q driven by higher output at Saucito. Gold volumes expected to be -13% Q/Q due to lower grades at Fresnillo and Juanicipio coupled with maintenance at Herradura. Key focus areas include operational developments at Fresnillo (where poor ground stability and structural fault at San Alberto was flagged in H1), progress at the restart of Noche Buena and grade performance at Juanicipio," analysts said in a Tuesday third-quarter preview note on European miners. For the third quarter, RBC projects silver equivalent production of 22.4 million ounces, against the consensus estimate of 22.3 million ounces. Meanwhile, Fresnillo expects 2026 production to reach between 82 million silver equivalent ounces and 91 million silver equivalent ounces. The research firm rates the stock at sector perform, with a price target of 30 pounds sterling. Fresnillo is scheduled to release its third-quarter production report on Oct. 21.
