Hong Kong Differential Assessment Service: 887 private buildings were completed in Hong Kong in August, an increase of 701 over the previous year

The Zhitong Finance App learned that the Hong Kong Wealth Assessment Department's latest “Monthly Supplement to the Hong Kong Property Report” shows that 887 private homes were completed in Hong Kong in August, a sharp increase of 701 units or 3.7 times over the previous month; the total number completed in the first 8 months of this year was 8,987 units, a year-on-year decrease of 3,363 units, or 27%, accounting for about 52.9% of the annual forecast of 16,975 units.

By region, the number of completed projects in August came mainly from the New Territories, involving 765 units; Hong Kong Island accounted for 71 units; and the Kowloon district had only 51 units.

Divided by unit area, the largest number of units completed in August was about 431 square feet or less, involving 774 units.
